Hello!
I'm Amy Carroll. This will be my fifth year in the Arlington Heights School District. This is my third year teaching third grade. Prior to this, I had the wonderful opportunity of being Dryden's math interventionist and an ESL Resource Teacher at both Greenbrier and Windsor. I attended Loyola and Roosevelt University, where I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in ESL. For three years, I also provided Math and English instruction at a learning center to students ranging from pre-K to high school. Teaching and math are my passions! In my free time, I love to read, go for nature walks, volunteer, spend time with my family, and find new inspiration for my craft!
This year will hold discovery, experiments, song, dance, laughter, teamwork, failure, perseverance, growth, and innovation-- all the ingredients for meaningful, productive learning. Quality will be valued over quantity, and application over speed. Your child has every potential, and I will use hands-on, personalized real-world learning to see it realized. I also believe parent collaboration is a key ingredient in achieving this. I look forward to working with you and your student.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or ideas.
Adventure awaits!
